A breath of fresh air
The house always feels so bare once the Christmas decorations come down. I'm always a little shocked at how sparse things appear. But I'm not ready for more excess. My eyes need a rest. I need simplicity. I need white flowers.
Simple or sumptuous, solitary or stunningly massed, they are always satisfying. Somehow that lack of competing hues lets the true essence of the blossom shine. Pared down to perfection, they are almost zen like in the tranquility they give me.
Some of my favorites are readily available at the grocery store.
Paper white narcissus
So why not treat yourself to a little preview of coming attractions. Enjoy.
