About Karen Helme

Karen founded Karen Helme Designs in 1999  after a career in IT management.  She received her professional interior design training at the Delaware College of Art and Design.  FOUND opened in 2007.

World travel and her studies of history and art  have opened her eyes to many beautiful designs that  inspire her work. 

Her background in project management enables her to bring an efficiency and focus to her design process.  

Creating a home for her family has taught her that comfort and function are the foundations of any good design.

She strives to create functional, beautiful spaces that reflect her client's personal style. 

Attention to detail, the small luxuries that she refers to as
  grace notes, relaxed sophistication and old world charm  are the hallmarks of her work.
